He Lihuai 何力怀, 1961 | Realist painter
Mr. He Lihuai 何力怀 - Chinese painter🎨 - was born in Chongqing. He worked as an art designer at Capital Museum from 1985-1996 after receiving Art of Bachelor degree in oil painting at Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1984.
As a member of Chinese Artists Association and a professional artist.
He has been honored as a very talented oil painter in contemporary China.

Vladimir Volegov, 1957
Vladimir Volegov -born in Khabarovsk- is a many-sided visual artist from Russia now residing in Spain.
His early work centered on graphic art for music recordings, comics, and commercial posters.
He is known in the West for his realistic, profusely colored oil paintings often depicting romantically ambiance outdoor family life scenes.

Zoltán Hornyik, 1960 | Impressionist painter
Hungarian painter Zoltán Hornyik was born in Kemecse.
His first maters were Borbála Fekete, János Kapcsa and Lajos Bíró. He graduated at the Teacher Training College of Nyíregyháza as a teacher of arts and geography in 1985.
After a short career as a teacher he transferred into arts. Since then he has been working as a freelance painter.

Born in Ulaanbaatar, Badam Otgontuvden became an only Mongolian to teach in the Ilya Repin St Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, the largest arts educational Institution andone of the most important scientific centers in Russia.
It is also considered as a one of the most well known art schools in the world.
Otgontuvden has studied at the Production Vocational School named after Radjiv Gandhi from 1999-2002 and obtained a diploma of tannery profession.

Camille Corot: "Never lose the first impression which has moved you..."
In the 1860s, Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (1796-1875) became interested in photography, taking photos himself and becoming acquainted with many early photographers, which had the effect of suppressing his painting palette even more in sympathy with the monochromatic tones of photographs.
This had the result of making his paintings even less dramatic but somewhat more poetic, a result which caused some critics to cite a monotony in his later work.

"La Madonna Sistina" è un dipinto a olio su tela (265x196 cm) di Raffaello, databile al 1513-1514 circa e conservato nella Gemäldegalerie di Dresda.
Insolito per Raffaello in quegli anni è il supporto su tela, che ha dato adito a varie ipotesi: secondo Rumohr l'opera era destinata anche ad essere usata come stendardo processionale. La datazione si basa su dati stilistici ed è in genere legata ai primi anni del pontificato di Leone X, prima dell'Estasi di Santa Cecilia.
Vasari testimonia come l'opera fosse stata dipinta per il convento di San Sisto a Piacenza, come conferma la presenza di due santi ivi particolarmente venerati.

Un esempio di questi saggi è Il ponte di Narni (1826), opera in cui riprese il bozzetto di un acquedotto romano diroccato e lo trasformò in uno scenario pastorale falsamente idillico con l'aggiunta di grandi alberi frondosi e immense distese di prati.

Carel Willink (1900-1983) Imaginary Realism painter
Albert Carel Willink was a Dutch painter🎨 who called his style of Magic realism "imaginary realism".
He was born in Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
He was the eldest son of the mechanic Jan Willink and Wilhelmina Altes. His father was an amateur artist who encouraged his son to paint.
After briefly studying medicine, in 1918-19 Willink studied architecture at the Technische Hogeschool in Delft.

Ginette Beaulieu, 1954 | Magical realism painter
Ginette Beaulieu was always passionate about drawing and in particular, was drawn to the techniques of the Renaissance masters, of which she completed formal training from 1979-1980.
Beaulieu is educated in art restoration and in ancient painting techniques. She defines herself as a hyperrealist painter and uses oil, pastel and pencil in her work.
Her work is distinguished by the use of mediums that she develops from decanted oils and natural pigments.

Romel de la Torre, 1963
Romel de la Torre attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago, where he was awarded the President's Foundation Award and the Union League Scholarship Award🎨.
After graduating with a fine arts concentration, Romel continued to paint in the Chicago area and joined The Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts, where he began studying with nationally renowned artist Richard Schmid and painting with other painters. René Magritte (1898-1967)
René Magritte, in full René-François Ghislain Magritte, Belgian Surrealist artist, one of the most prominent Surrealist painters, whose bizarre flights of fancy blended horror, peril, comedy and mystery.
His works were characterized by particular symbols - the female torso, the bourgeois “little man”, the bowler hat, the castle, the rock, the window, and others.
Two museums in Brussels celebrate Magritte: the René Magritte Museum, largely a biographical museum, is located in the house occupied by the artist and his wife between 1930-1954; and the Magritte Museum, featuring some 250 of the artist’s works, opened in 2009 at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts.

Carlo Salomoni is an Italian artist🎨 born in Ferrara, Italy. He is a graduate from the medical faculty with a degree in general surgery, but in 1992 decides to leave the medical activity and becomes a professional artist.
Carlo started his artist career producing art objects (small sculptures and decoration of pottery vases), some of them exposed in galleries in Ferrara and Bologna Italy. He also realized replicas of famous painters in different epoch times and styles from the year 600 to 900.

Juan Muñoz | Storyteller sculptor
Juan Muñoz (1953-2001)was a Spanish sculptor, working primarily in paper maché, resin and bronze.
He was also interested in the auditory arts and created compositions for the radio. He was a self-described "storyteller".
In 2000, Muñoz was awarded Spain's major Premio Nacional de Bellas Artes in recognition of his work; he died shortly after, in 2001.
His first exhibition was in 1984 in the Fernando Vijande gallery of Madrid. Since then, his works have been frequently exhibited in Europe and other parts of the world.

Nocturne: Blue and Gold, St Mark's, Venice is an 1880 painting by James Abbot McNeill Whistler (American Tonalist painter, 1834-1903), now in the National Museum of Wale.
Following his bankruptcy in 1879, Whistler spent a year in Venice where he concentrated on etchings and pastels.
Only three oil paintings, produced largely from memory in the evenings, survive from this visit.

The "beautiful Irishwoman" depicted in this painting is Joanna Hiffernan (born 1842/43), mistress and model of the artist James McNeill Whistler (1834-1903)🎨, and perhaps subsequently Courbet’s lover.
Although dated 1866, the picture was likely undertaken in 1865, when the two men painted together at the French seaside resort of Trouville; Courbet wrote of "the beauty of a superb redhead whose portrait I have begun".

Woman Playing a Guitar / "Femme jouant de la guitare"/"Joueuse de guitare ou La Guitariste" is an 1897 painting by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, now in the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon, which bought it in 1901.
The work was one of the first paintings acquired by Paul Durand-Ruel.
Renoir painted several paintings of guitar-players and borrowing classical motifs - here, he is influenced by Camille Corot, Titian and Rubens.

Michele Lehmann, 1940 | Abstract painter
Michele Lehmann was born in Switzerland but moved to Mijas in southern Spain over 30 years ago.
After arriving there, Michele opened an art gallery as an outlet for local artists.
Although not an artist herself she began sketching to pass the time.
It began with a sketch of an old woman in black who passed the gallery every day.
She moved too fast for Michele to draw so the image captured her from behind.

Gari Melchers (1860-1932) | Naturalist painter
Julius Garibaldi Melchers was an American artist🎨. He was one of the leading American proponents of naturalism. He won a 1932 Gold medal🎨 from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
The son of German-born American sculptor Julius Theodore Melchers, Gari Melchers was a native of Detroit, Michigan, who at seventeen studied art at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under von Gebhardt and is associated with the Düsseldorf school of painting.
