Zoltán Hornyik, 1960 | Impressionist painter

Hungarian painter Zoltán Hornyik was born in Kemecse.
His first maters were Borbála Fekete, János Kapcsa and Lajos Bíró. He graduated at the Teacher Training College of Nyíregyháza as a teacher of arts and geography in 1985.
After a short career as a teacher he transferred into arts. Since then he has been working as a freelance painter.



He won a prize in graphic art in the art colony of Hajdúnánás in 1977.
He went on study-tours in Italy, Austria, Greece, Turkey and United States of America.
In 1987 he was awarded the special prize of the art camp of Mártély.
His studio produces figurative oil paintings, landscapes, still lives as well as interiors.
Exhibitions: Hajdúszoboszló, Nyíregyháza, Nyírbátor, Hódmezővásárhely, Japan, Canada, Germany, Holland, New York, Los Angeles.

Si è laureato presso il Dipartimento di Disegno-Geografia del Teacher Training College di Nyíregyháza nel 1985 e dopo quattro anni di insegnamento ha lavorato come pittore "freelance".
Nel 1977 ha vinto un premio in arte grafica presso la colonia di artisti di Hajdúnánás.
Ha partecipato a viaggi di studio in Italia, Austria, Grecia, Turchia e Stati Uniti d'America.
Nel 1987 gli è stato assegnato il premio speciale del campo d'arte di Mártély.
