Simon Glücklich (1863-1943)


Simon Glücklich was born in Bielitz, Germany (now Poland) in 1863.
Son of decorator painter Leo Glücklich, Simon Glücklich attended high school in Bielitz and then studied at the Vienna Art Academy from 1880-1890 and from 1885-1890 with the genre and landscape painter Leopold Carl Müller (1834-1892).

Franz Leo Ruben was an Austrian painter🎨 who was born in Prague, Czech Republic.

Eugene de Blaas (1843-1931)


Eugene de Blaas🎨 was born to Austrian parents. His father, Karl (1815-1894), teacher to him and his brother Julius became Professor at the Academy in Vienna and Venice, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
It was in Venice that Eugene de Blaas established himself as the leading painter of Venetian genre.
The golden Italian climate and the magnificent old stone facades had made Venice an essential stop on the Grand Tour since the early eighteenth century.
Past visitors had returned home with views and portraits; the late nineteenth visitor wanted more.

His father’s predominant interests were historical scenes.
Johann Till the Younger studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Vienna under Leopold Kupelwieser (1796-1862) and Christian Ruben (1805-1875).

Karl Kaufmann (1843-1901)


Karl Kaufmann was an Austrian landscape and architectural painter.
Karl Kaufmann was a student at the Vienna Academy. His studies in the European North (Norway), to Holland, Germany (Franconia, Danzig, Königsberg) and often to Italy (Naples, Rome, Venice) gave him the motives for his numerous landscapes, including a remarkable number of views of Venice.
From 1900 Karl Kaufmann constantly lived in Vienna. He often signed his works using pseudonyms.

Albert Rieger | Landscape painter


Austrian🎨 landscape and marine painter Albert Rieger (Trieste, 1834 - Vienna,1905) was the son and pupil of painter Giuseppe Rieger. He was also influenced by the works of the German artist Bernhard Fiedler (1816-1904). Rieger's preferred subjects were marines and landscapes.
In 1838 settled he with the family in Vienna.
His works were exhibited in many exhibitions in Munich and Paris works are presented in important collections, for example at the Museum of Altenburg and in Wroclaw.
Crown prince Rudolf bought his landscapes "Am Traunsee" and "Gosausee".
Rieger was awarded🎨 with Gold Austrian Medal and Great Golden Swedish-Norwegian Medal.

Friedrich Von Amerling (1803-1887)


Friedrich von Amerling è stato un pittore Austriaco.
Ritrattista, fu pittore di corte di Francesco Giuseppe d'Austria dal 1835-1880. È considerato, con Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, il più grande ritrattista austriaco del XIX secolo.
Friedrich von Amerling fu figlio dell'orafo Franz Amerling e di Theresia Kargl.
Dal 1815-1824 frequentò l'Accademia di belle arti di Vienna e successivamente l'Accademia a Praga, fino al 1826.
Tra il 1827-1828 soggiornò quindi a Londra, dove venne influenzato dal ritrattista Sir Thomas Lawrence.
Successivamente visitò Parigi e Roma, per fare ritorno a Vienna, dove iniziò a lavorare per la corte e per le classi aristocratica e media austriache.
