Johan Krouthén | Skagen painter

Johan Krouthén (1858-1932) was a Swedish artist.
He broke away from the traditions of the Swedish Academy, turning to Realism and Idealism.
Immediately after his studies, he spent a few months in Paris and in Denmark where he associated with the Skagen Painters.

Alexander Tolstoy, born in Saint Petersburg, was a Russian-Swedish count and painter, graphic artist, illustrator, master of still life and a female portrait, active in Dalarna, Sweden.
Tolstoy was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and then studied in several countries.
His art consists of figure studies and women in national costumes done in oil.

Emma Josepha Sparre (1851-1913) was a Swedish baroness, artist and poet.
Emma Josepha Sparre née Munktell was born at Grycksbo in Dalarna County, Sweden.
She was the daughter of Henrik Munktell (1804-1861) and Christina Augusta Eggertz (1818-1889).
She was the sister of composer Helena Munktell (1852-1919).
She was married to fellow artist Baron Carl Axel Ambjörn Sparre (1839-1910) from 1870 to 1891.

Sigrid Hjertén nacque a Sundsvall il 27 ottobre 1885.
Dopo i primi studi d'arte a Stoccolma, nel 1909 conobbe il suo futuro marito, il pittore Isaac Hirsche Grünewald, che sposò nel 1911.

Axel Adolf Harald Jungstedt (17 March 1859 - 14 March 1933) was a Swedish painter and professor at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts.
He is represented with paintings at the Gothenburg Art Museum, the National Gallery of Denmark, and the National Gallery of Norway, and contributed with decorations of the Stockholm Opera House.

Axel Adolf Harald Jungstedt was born on 17 March 1859 in Norrköping in Östergötland, Sweden, the son of Johan Nils Jungstedt and Matilda Sundius.
He was the brother of opera singer Matilda Jungstedt.
