Morten Lasskogen is a Copenhagen-based visual artist.

- "After working as a photographer for nearly 10 years, in 2018 I started experimenting with 3d. I discovered that a lot of the things i knew about lighting and composition worked more or less the same way as with photography, but the big difference was: 3d didn't have the same limits - I could literally control the sun"!

- "I'm still working as a photographer, but for the last couple of years, 3d has given me a way to create some of the things inside my head where photography just doesn't suffice.

Hands down, I've totally fallen in love with 3d"!

His work challenges the viewer to explore an interdisciplinary place - a place resting between the recognized and the unfamiliar.

Inspired by light and shadows, his work balances minimalism and surrealism, and futuristic aesthetics with objects of the present day. Exploring notions of present, future and past, his work poses questions about the shared experience of our environment, today as well as in the future.

- "Dopo aver lavorato come fotografo per quasi 10 anni, nel 2018 ho iniziato a sperimentare con il 3d. Ho scoperto che molte delle cose che sapevo sull'illuminazione e sulla composizione funzionavano più o meno allo stesso modo della fotografia, ma la grande differenza era; Il 3d non aveva gli stessi limiti: potevo letteralmente controllare il sole!

Sto ancora lavorando come fotografo, ma negli ultimi due anni il 3d mi ha dato un modo per creare alcune delle cose dentro la mia testa dove la fotografia non basta. Giù le mani, mi sono totalmente innamorato del 3d"!

Il suo lavoro sfida lo spettatore ad esplorare un luogo interdisciplinare - un luogo di riposo tra il riconosciuto e il non familiare.

Ispirato da luci ed ombre, il suo lavoro bilancia minimalismo e surrealismo, e l'estetica futuristica con gli oggetti dei giorni nostri. Esplorando nozioni del presente, futuro e passato, il suo lavoro pone domande sull'esperienza condivisa del nostro ambiente, oggi come in futuro.
