El Greco | Il periodo Italiano

El Greco (1541-1614) è il soprannome di Doménikos Theotokópulos, pittore Greco.

Soggiornò a Venezia 1565, dove studiò i dipinti di Tiziano Vecellio (1488/90 - 1576) e di Bassano ed assorbì l'influsso del Tintoretto e dei Manieristi veneti.

A Parma ed a Roma 1570 ca, conobbe le opere di Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564) e di Correggio.

Stabilitosi nella maturità a Toledo 1577, iniziò una pittura personalissima, ricca di suggestivo misticismo e drammaticità, nella quale la rappresentazione mistico-visionaria è messa in valore da un colorismo vibrante e da una grande tensione formale.

I Fiori surreali di Salvador Dalí | La serie

Il tema dei fiori nell'opera di Salvador Dalí spazia da eleganti acquerelli giovanili a suite grafiche della maturità che fondono precisione botanica ed immaginazione surrealista.

Le opere più celebri appartenenti a questo filone includono serie di litografie dove i fiori si trasformano in oggetti assurdi o simboli psicanalitici.

Attraverso tre serie principali, realizzate tra il 1968 e il 1981, l'artista reinterpreta illustrazioni botaniche storiche del XIX secolo (come quelle di Pierre-Joseph Redouté e Pierre-Antoine Poiteau) arricchendole con i suoi simboli iconici: orologi molli, cassetti, formiche e figure umane.

José Padilla Puyet (1922-2004) è stato un pittore impressionista Spagnolo, la cui popolarità si è diffusa in tutta la Spagna e negli Stati Uniti.

Jenaro Pérez de Villaamil y d'Huguet (1807-1854) was a Spanish painter in the Romantic style who specialized in landscapes with figures and architectural scenes.

He often inflated the scale of the buildings relative to the figures to make them more impressive.

He was born in Ferrol, Galicia.

In 1812, he was enrolled at the military academy in Santiago de Compostela, where he assisted his father, who was a professor there.
