Bobbie Burgers, 1973 | Abstract floral painter

Vancouver artist Bobbie Burgers received a B.A. in Art History in 1996 from the University of Victoria in British Columbia.

Her work has been exhibited widely at home and abroad, notably including Art Market San Francisco and Equinox Gallery.

Today, her works are in the collections of the Berost Corporation in Toronto and the Royal Bank of Canada, among others.

Burgers lives and works in Vancouver, Canada.

"Flowers, to me, are the opposite of still", the artist has explained.

"Changing from minute to minute, they are perfect symbols for life, death, yearning, and beauty. My brushstrokes are layered with my own internal charges, depicting anger, frustration, softness, wanting, and more".

"Cambiando di minuto in minuto, i fiori sono simboli perfetti per la vita, la morte, il desiderio e la bellezza. Le mie pennellate sono stratificate con le mie cariche interne, raffiguranti rabbia, frustrazione, morbidezza, desiderio ed altro"- spiega l'artista.

Nata a Vancouver, in Canada, Bobbie Burgers ha studiato Storia dell'Arte all'Università di Victoria nella British Columbia.

Il suo lavoro è stato ampiamente esposto in patria ed all'estero, in particolare tra cui Art Market San Francisco ed Equinox Gallery.

Oggi, le sue opere sono nelle collezioni della Berost Corporation di Toronto e della Royal Bank of Canada, tra le altre. Burgers vive e lavora a Vancouver, in Canada.
