Diego Velázquez | An Old Woman Cooking Eggs, 1618
Old Woman Frying Eggs is a genre painting by Diego Velázquez, produced during his Seville period.
The date is not precisely known but is thought to be around the turn of 1618 before his definitive move to Madrid in 1623.
The painting is in the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh.
Velázquez frequently used working-class characters in early paintings like this one, in many cases using his family as models; the old woman here also appears in his Christ in the House of Martha and Mary (1618).

Internationally renowned Australian artist, Margarita Georgiadis studied both printmaking and painting at the National Art School and Sydney College of the Arts.
She has held many solo exhibitions, participates in regular group and solo shows, has won and been short listed for numerous prestigious National art prizes including: The Archibald, The Mosman Art Prize, The Paddington Art Prize. Awarded The Veolia Mulwaree Trust Scholarship in 2017 to undertake an artists residency in France.
Margarita's work is included in private and corporate collections world wide. Margarita's career as an artist spans over twenty years.
She lives and works in an old and much loved theatre in a small country town and teaches regularly at The Goulburn Regional Art Gallery. Margarita is founder and Principal Tutor at Gunning Fine Art Classes.

Albert Lynch (1860-1950) è stato un pittore ed illustratore di origine tedesca e peruviana, naturalizzato francese, noto soprattutto per i ritratti accademici di donne francesi dell'epoca vittoriana, realizzati ad acquerello, pastello ed olio.
Lynch trascorse la sua vita sempre a Parigi, studiando, all'inizio, presso la "Scuola di belle arti", sotto la guida di William Bouguereau, poi negli atelier di Jules Noël, Gabriel Ferrer e Henri Lehmann.

Sergio Martinez Cifuentes, artista contemporaneo di doppia nazionalità, cilena-spagnola, è nato a Santiago del Cile.
Da giovane, noto per i suoi disegni, che insieme alla sua cruda poesia ed alle sue composizioni musicali, cominciano a strutturare il proprio profilo adolescenziale romantico ed esistenzialista.
È in questa fase che partecipa a numerosi concorsi giovanili di pittura, ottenendo significativi riconoscimenti, che aiutano a comprendere la vera importanza del loro rapporto con la plastica.
Nella sua prima fase si attacca al realismo descrittivo, mostrando un grande controllo sulle forme e sulla gestione dei contenuti ed un colore elegante, essendo il suo tema principale il paesaggio.
Odette Itah | Hazafon, Israel
Odette Itah è nata a Meknes in Marocco, ha studiato Arte drammatica e Teatro classico presso il Conservatorio di Arte a Meknes.
Ha prestato volontariato presso l'ospedale di Nahariya nel reparto di pediatria per 12 anni.
Ora vive a Nahariya, Hazafon, in Israel ed insegna francese.
Chidi Okoye (Nigerian painter, 1961)
Chidi A. Okoye graduated with a distinction in sculpture from the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu, Nigeria, in 1988.
For the next six years he taught sculpture and drawing at Federal Polytechnic Oko Anambra State Nigeria.
During this period, he created an outstanding collection, not only sculpting, but painting and writing as well. In Nigeria, He had his national solo exhibition “Textures of Life” and launching of his book “Lamentation” at national museum Lagos in 1993 sponsored by Mobil Producing Nigeria.
Okoye is as famous for his poetry as for his painting and sculpture.
