This work was probably executed by Guillaume Seignac (French Academic painter, 1870-1924) in 1918-1919.
It represents two women symbolizing France and Alsace.
Seignac painted another composition in 1914, representing "Belgium, France and England before the German invasion" (Sale, Paris, April 22nd 2009, lot 87).

Born in Bolzano, Italy, awarded🎨 sculptor Peter Demetz lives and works in Ortisei (BZ).
He graduated from the Art Institute of Ortisei, he was an apprentice in the laboratory of master Heinrich Demetz.
In 1993 he obtained the master sculptor diploma.

Bryan Larsen, 1975


Bryan Lamont Larsen Jr. is an American realist painter, born in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Larsen was inspired by the figurative works of the Pre-Raphaelite painters, William-Adolphe Bouguereau, Lawrence Alma-Tadema, and other nineteenth century European painters.
He was educated at Utah State University and at the Grand Central Academy Summer Intensives.
Larsen's work includes architectural elements and figurative works, with themes emphasizing beauty, innovation, aspiration, and optimism for the future.

John Singer Sargent was an American artist, considered the "leading portrait painter of his generation" for his evocations of Edwardian Era luxury.
The Edwardian Period corresponds to the French Belle Époque period. Despite its brief pre-eminence, the period is characterised by its own unique architectural style, fashion, and lifestyle. Art Nouveau had a particularly strong influence. Artists were influenced by the development of the automobile and electricity, and a greater awareness of human rights.

Léon de Smet (Belgian painter, 1881-1966)


Léon de Smet è stato un pittore Belgo🎨 ed il fratello minore del pittore Gustave de Smet (1877-1943), anch'egli famoso pittore.
Nacque a Gand, in Belgio, nel 1881. Ha ricevuto la sua formazione artistica presso la Royal Academy of Art. Insieme a suo fratello, apparteneva ai cosiddetti pittori "Sint-Martens-Latem", un gruppo di artisti che erano attivi nella zona con lo stesso nome.
Lo stile di De Smet è caratterizzato da un tocco impressionista e pointillista.
È rinomato per la sua capacità di costruire una composizione con pennellate rapide, brevi e sottotono, mantenendo sempre l'equilibrio.

Arnaldo Ferraguti (1862-1925)


Arnaldo Ferraguti è stato un pittore Italiano Verista, celebre in vita anche per le numerose incisioni con le quali illustrò i libri dell'editore Treves.
Studiò all'Accademia di Belle Arti a Napoli, ma si formò pittoricamente anche grazie alla frequentazione del pittore verista Francesco Paolo Michetti, dal quale apprese anche l'utilizzo della fotografia come strumento per la "cattura" delle immagini.
Divenne celebre nel 1891 con l'enorme dipinto Alla vanga, oggi conservato al Museo del Paesaggio di Verbania-Pallanza, nella quale ritrasse un gruppo di braccianti intenti al lavoro sotto lo sguardo del sorvegliante.

Ivan Slavinsky è un artista che coniuga magistralmente la pittura classica con le tecniche moderne.

Slavinsky è nato a Leningrado, in Russia, in una familia di artisti.

Ivan ha iniziato a dipingere con 5 anni di abilità professionale all'Accademia di Belle Arti.


La prima mostra di Ivan Slavinsky a San Pietroburgo ha avuto luogo nella galleria "Association of Free Artists" nel 1991.
Il pittore iniziò gradualmente ad acquisire fama a San Pietroburgo.
Più tardi, nel 1993 Ivan Slavinsky andò in Francia, dove visse e lavorò per dieci anni con contratti nelle gallerie europee.
Durante questo periodo ha tenuto mostre personali a Lussemburgo, Dublino (Irlanda), Stoccolma (Svezia), Marsiglia, Parigi (Francia) ed altre città.


Nel 2003 Ivan Slavinsky è tornato a San Pietroburgo e nel giugno 2007 ha aperto la Galleria d'arte Ivan Slavinsky.
Dall'aprile 2010 la galleria porta il nome del proprietario e direttore della galleria Lazarev.
Nel 1997 Ivan Slavinsky è membro dell'Unione Russa degli Artisti.
Nel 2009 Ivan Slavinsky è diventato artista-curatore dell'evento di beneficenza "ABC", che si tiene ogni anno nell'ambito della "Fiera di Natale" a San Pietroburgo.

Camille Corot: "Never lose the first impression which has moved you..."

In the 1860s, Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (1796-1875) became interested in photography, taking photos himself and becoming acquainted with many early photographers, which had the effect of suppressing his painting palette even more in sympathy with the monochromatic tones of photographs.
This had the result of making his paintings even less dramatic but somewhat more poetic, a result which caused some critics to cite a monotony in his later work.

Raffaello | La Madonna Sistina, 1513-1514

"La Madonna Sistina" è un dipinto a olio su tela (265x196 cm) di Raffaello, databile al 1513-1514 circa e conservato nella Gemäldegalerie di Dresda.
Insolito per Raffaello in quegli anni è il supporto su tela, che ha dato adito a varie ipotesi: secondo Rumohr l'opera era destinata anche ad essere usata come stendardo processionale. La datazione si basa su dati stilistici ed è in genere legata ai primi anni del pontificato di Leone X, prima dell'Estasi di Santa Cecilia.
Vasari testimonia come l'opera fosse stata dipinta per il convento di San Sisto a Piacenza, come conferma la presenza di due santi ivi particolarmente venerati.
